Description
Affectionately known by his Indian friends as the “Angel with a Bushy Beard,” Major Dudley Gardiner gave himself to the gospel and good of the people of Kolkata. Standing upon swollen, split, and bleeding feet he daily fed physical and spiritual food to the hungry. Tortuous scars inflicted by enemy captors were hidden by a beard worn to conceal the visible pain that he bore minute by minute. He labored long days under extreme conditions until his home going on May 15, 1981. Learn this testimony of personal sacrifice through the words of Major Gardiner’s friend and fellow veteran, Dr. J. Royce Thomason (Founder, The Voice in the Wilderness) and journey to those very streets of Calcutta as you read the day-to-day missions account in A Journal: To India and Back by Dr. Ronnie Williamson (Evangelist).
